Lead GitLab’s Security Posture Management team within Product Security. Drive governed security capability rollouts across the software estate, establish secure configuration baselines, build software supply chain security, manage risk registers and posture metrics, support audit evidence, and provide customer-zero feedback to Product and Engineering. Hire, coach, and develop the team while representing GitLab’s security practices externally and driving measurable risk reduction in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Build and maintain the Python-based backend engine for GitLab Duo Chat, including agentic LangGraph flows, the Flow Registry, and Duo Workflow Service. Participate in weekday, weekend, and occasional nighttime Tier 2 or Tier 3 on-call rotations.

Build and maintain secure, scalable Flow Registry features for GitLab’s agentic platform using Python, LangChain, and LangGraph. Design GraphQL and REST APIs, improve automated testing, optimize PostgreSQL-backed applications, and collaborate across backend, frontend, product, UX, and AI teams. Participate in Tier 2 on-call support, troubleshoot production issues, improve observability, and contribute to responsible AI integration in GitLab’s remote, asynchronous environment.

Build and maintain backend AI capabilities for GitLab Duo Chat: design flow components and agentic flows in Python/LangGraph, integrate LLMs and multi-agent orchestration, implement and maintain APIs in the Rails monolith, improve observability and reliability, and participate in on-call rotations and cross-functional collaboration to deliver safe, scalable AI chat features.

Design, build, and maintain People systems automations and integrations (Workato, Workday, Greenhouse, Slack) using production-quality code. Improve CI/CD, reliability, observability, and AI-driven automation (Claude, MCP). Serve as technical lead for People Technology, partner with stakeholders, and drive scalable, maintainable automation solutions.

Build tooling, workflows, and guidance to make GitLab easier to deploy, validate, and operate across cloud-native and self-managed environments. Evolve deployment guidance, improve production-like ephemeral environments, and maintain consistent deployment artifacts and environment contracts across development through production.
