Own the strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s agent primitives. Research agent-builder needs, translate customer and community signals into platform abstractions, and partner with engineering and design to ship and iterate technical products. Develop APIs, SDKs, integrations, messaging, and launch narratives while balancing developer experience, cloud adoption, and enterprise requirements. The role requires deep technical fluency in distributed systems, workflow orchestration, reliability, scalability, and AI agent workloads.

Lead AI agent optimization efforts by designing systems that improve token efficiency, response time, reliability, and output quality. Build agentic coding systems, develop AI application patterns, own features end to end, collaborate with engineering and field teams, support the developer community, and create public technical documentation. Work across Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go while serving as a domain expert in agent design and optimization.

Secure Temporal’s development pipeline, product, and customer execution environments. Partner with engineering teams on secure architecture, threat modeling, risk assessments, code and software supply-chain security, vulnerability triage, Kubernetes hardening, multi-tenant isolation, and responsible AI security. Participate in on-call rotations and help establish actionable security policies and practices across the organization.

Own the end-to-end Temporal Cloud Namespace product lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, capacity management, placement, scaling, APIs, SLOs, and SLAs. Define differentiated offerings and policies balancing reliability, performance, residency, isolation, and cost. Partner with engineering, SRE, operations, and commercial teams to deliver scalable multi-tenant infrastructure capabilities and clear customer experiences.

Design, build, deploy, and support scalable distributed observability systems for internal developers and customers. Lead the software development lifecycle, develop and review designs, ensure testing and production readiness, investigate reliability and performance issues, participate in on-call support, and collaborate across teams to improve Temporal’s infrastructure and platform capabilities.

Own the product strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s self-hosted and hybrid deployment offerings. Lead improvements to installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, operational tooling, storage choices, multi-region and multi-cloud topologies, and Temporal Proxy. Partner with Engineering, Resident Architects, Security, Support, and customer-facing teams to translate enterprise requirements into reliable, operable infrastructure products, particularly for regulated and controlled environments.
