As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will build and ship features for an AI workspace platform, develop autonomous agents, and manage end-to-end deployments, collaborating closely with clients in various sectors.

Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers to deploy Cohere's North platform into private cloud and on-premises environments. Own technical delivery and customer success, collaborate with Product/Engineering/Sales, optimize K8s services (OpenSearch, databases), define GPU/CPU scaling, and build scalable processes and tooling.

As a Software Engineer in Data Infrastructure, you will build and maintain high-performance data storage systems for AI training, collaborate with experts, and optimize data processing.

Manage the full contract lifecycle and contract operations: triage requests, draft and maintain standard agreements and templates, manage document systems and approvals, monitor compliance and key dates, analyze contract data, and collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance to streamline contract workflows and reporting.

Provide legal guidance for product development and commercialization: create templates and playbooks, manage IP and open source compliance, mitigate product lifecycle risks, coordinate legal input for launches, advise product, engineering and business teams, and monitor relevant technology regulations.

Lead and mentor a GPU infrastructure engineering team to design, deploy, and scale GPU/TPU clusters. Define technical roadmap, implement topology-aware scheduling, monitoring, IaC, and cost/capacity optimization. Collaborate with AI researchers, cloud providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and performant infrastructure.

Drive independent, high-impact research on frontier AI topics, publish findings, collaborate widely, and mentor new researchers in the field.

Lead end-to-end technical programs for ML infrastructure (inference, serving, efficiency, endpoints). Coordinate cross-functional teams, prioritize overlapping projects, manage timelines, budgets and scope, drive incident management and continuous improvement, and communicate status to engineering and leadership.
