Compensation Analyst II will manage annual and mid-year compensation cycles, conduct market and workforce analyses, support incentive compensation programs, maintain job architecture in Workday, and advise stakeholders on compensation structures. Lead Affirm’s Resilience Engineering team, defining strategy and managing engineers who build platforms for safe production load testing and chaos engineering. Own safeguards such as isolation, approval workflows, rollback mechanisms, observability, and auditability. Partner with infrastructure, security, product, and engineering teams to identify systemic weaknesses, improve reliability, establish incident response practices, and promote resilience validation across the software development lifecycle.

Build and operate enterprise identity and access management systems at Affirm. Responsibilities include IAM lifecycle operations, access troubleshooting, automation, backend services, APIs, integrations, monitoring, and production support. The role focuses on SailPoint, Auth0, workforce identity events, secure infrastructure, and collaboration with Security, IT, and Engineering. Candidates should have software engineering experience, backend development skills, cloud familiarity, and knowledge of IAM technologies.

Build and maintain customer identity and authentication services for registration, login, authorization, MFA, step-up authentication, and account lifecycle flows. Develop backend APIs in Python or Kotlin, integrate Okta, Auth0, and ForgeRock, write automated tests, participate in code reviews, deploy features, debug production services, improve reliability, and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams under mentorship.

Leads cross-functional operations enablement programs that scale compliant, high-quality servicing. Owns roadmaps, operational readiness, stakeholder governance, risk resolution, change management, training strategy, knowledge management, process improvement, and performance measurement. Partners with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and vendors to translate strategy and technical concepts into scalable workflows, resources, and customer and agent experience improvements.

Set frontend technical direction for Affirm’s checkout and decisions orchestration systems. Lead architecture and delivery of major web application features, establish engineering standards, manage reliability and on-call operations, collaborate with product, design, and analytics, and mentor engineers. The role focuses on building fast, clear, and reliable checkout experiences using modern declarative UI frameworks.

Leads Affirm’s third-party security risk management program, including international market due diligence, M&A security assessments, post-acquisition vendor integration, control evaluations, threat modeling, and remediation tracking. Designs automated workflows and integrations across GRC, ticketing, cloud, and identity systems using Python and agentic coding tools. Establishes processes, metrics, dashboards, and reporting while advising Legal, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Privacy, and leadership on security risks and decisions.

Leads Affirm’s zero-to-one product initiatives in partnership with the CEO and executive team. Owns product vision, strategy, roadmaps, customer discovery, prototyping, experimentation, launches, and iteration for new products and platforms. Coordinates engineering, design, data, risk, legal, operations, and revenue teams without direct authority. Defines success metrics, analyzes customer behavior, communicates tradeoffs, and establishes repeatable product development standards.
