You will

  • Perform the full cycle Income Producing Property (IPP) accounting of multiple properties, with a focus on our Commercial and Multifamily Rental asset classes
  • Complete ad hoc projects as required
  • Prepare annual financials for lender reviews
  • Prepare quarterly financials for Investor Reporting
  • Liaise with property, leasing and asset management to obtain required information
  • Prepare year end working papers and liaise with auditors
  • Produce monthly financials, working papers, cash flow statements and asset summaries
  • Oversee the AP and AR cycle for the assigned portfolio

 

Cash Management

  • Ensure that the properties in the portfolio have enough working capital by constantly monitoring transactions
  • Prepare distributions and funding requests

 

Budgets/Forecast

  • Prepare annual property budgets
  • Prepare quarterly forecast for properties

 

You have

  • A Bachelor of Business/Commerce, major in Accounting, or related field, or financial management certificate
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Experience with multiple property accounting (preferably with commercial and multifamily rental)
  • A proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • A willingness to learn, great time management skills and a high degree of energy, work ethic and are detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills with competency in Excel, Word and Yardi Voyager
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills

Salary range

$70,000 - $80,000 per year estimated, based on experience and qualifications
