Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture
Within the Microsoft fabric platform team, we are the Core platform team. Our team is responsible of the main compute platform on which all Fabric products are running. Our service is highly scalable and highly available and we are one of the biggest Azure services in the world. We develop features directly for customers but also features for the Fabric products that run on our platform. The Core platform service is a stateful service build on Azure Service Fabric and ContainerD. We use many Azure technologies from Storage, Premium Files, Service Bus, Event Hub, Event Grid, Kusto to SQL Azure, Cosmos DB and Azure Redis.
We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability and has middle tier or backend service development experience.

Responsibilities
- Design high quality components in C#/Java using clean and tested code.
- Integrate Azure technologies to achieve high scale and reliability.
- Design, and develop features and solutions with high quality.
- Design, implement, and refine chosen solutions in close partnership with Product Management and partner teams.
- Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years engineering experience with highly scalable cloud services

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
