Job SummaryOur nationwide traffic and transportation engineering team is continually growing, and we are currently seeking an experienced, creative, and detail-oriented Senior Transportation Engineer who is eager to serve as project manager or lead traffic engineer on a wide variety of transportation projects including neighborhood transportation and parking studies, multimodal planning and analyses, traffic impact studies, traffic simulation/modeling, complete streets design, traffic management plans, and safety studies. The successful candidate will lead projects and tasks from initiation to completion, train junior staff, and contribute to business development and marketing activities such as writing proposals and attending industry events.Preference will be given to candidates interested in our Los Angeles or Oakland offices, but other offices in California could be considered.Responsibilities & Qualifications
The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with staff across multiple offices, manage priorities, think creatively, and meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation engineering
- 8-15 years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning
- Registered Traffic Engineer (TE) in California
- High proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and/or Vissim
- Expert user of Excel
- Experience in project management and client management
- Experience leading and preparing proposals for private and public sector clients
- Ability to commute to the office at least three days per week
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Authorization to work in the US

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $119,000 - $176,400 annually for this position and local market.
