The Senior Product Manager is an advanced-level product manager with the breadth of experience and qualifications to manage multiple complex products or specialized individual products. While the incumbent does not typically have employees reporting to them, they may provide guidance to more junior product managers. The Senior Product Manager represents investment teams in communication with the sales teams and occasionally acts as a product specialist to advisors.
Your Day to Day
- Strategic (20%)
- Represent investment teams in communication with the sales teams.
- Occasionally act as a product specialist to advisors.
- Build internal and external relationships with others outside of own work group or team.
- Tactical (40%)
- Manage multiple complex products or specialized individual products.
- Use significant judgment on moderate to complex business problems.
- Assist in the development of associates and senior associates.
- Act as a resource person to less experienced colleagues.
- Transactional (40%)
- Complete assigned processes or programs.
- Provide guidance to more junior product managers.
- May have input on the department's budget.
What You Have
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies.
- Bachelor’s and graduate degrees in business, accounting, finance, or related fields.
- Extensive knowledge in fund asset management industry segments.
- Advanced understanding of functional area and competent understanding of the overall firm and competitive environment.
- Viewed as a senior specialist in area of concentration.
