Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, the Senior Product Manager works closely with the Lead to create a clear product roadmap of prioritized features and initiatives in particular areas of the game that work toward the overall product vision. They monitor game performance and drive KPIs and targets for products and features and implement effective review cycles of the state of our games that carefully consider internal and external feedback as well as key product metrics to continually improve the product.
 
This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.

In this role, you can expect to:

    Key Accountabilities:
  • Work closely with the Lead Product Manager, Lead Producer, and other stakeholders to inform and execute product strategy aimed at improving core product KPIs.
  • Translate strategic directives into goals and key results where you can then monitor and drive strategy around achieving results through the associated KPIs.
  • Co-develop a comprehensive in-app feature strategy with design that maintains and improves player engagement and supports planned feature releases.
  • Work with the Lead Product Manager and design to conceptualize and implement engaging features, mechanics, systems, and modalities of play that fulfill business goals.
  • Proactively identify optimizations and feature implementations to maximize player experience and business performance.
  • Have the ability to deconstruct popular game features and their monetization mechanic to influence the executive decision whether to incorporate these trends into the product or not.
  • Communicate and prioritize asks with the BI Team to conduct in-depth analysis of the in-game economy trends using data insights to impact top line KPIs.
  • Partner with design and analytics to establish an experimentation road map, using A/B testing and machine learning to meet objectives and create product and player insight, and then translate these outcomes into relevant recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of gaming trends and insights to identify and evaluate new business opportunities that provide value to players and align with our goals.
  • Understand market trends, business models and customer preferences across all genres, platforms, territories, and demographics.
  • Expert data and analytical skills (e.g. using different analytics tools, interpreting dashboards, etc.).

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, finance, economics or related field.
  • MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, games systems design, or data analytics in games as a service (mobile, PC, or console).
  • Strong experience in quantitative analysis, including the ability to model game parameters using Excel and business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Understanding and experience with a wide range of business models including, but not limited to, free-to-play and subscriptions business models.
