Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Senior Manager, Production, you lead the manufacturing production team and all its associated responsibilities at our local manufacturing facility. Driving the continuous improvement of our production processes to ensure we meet and exceed all manufacturing KPIs and targets inclusive of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and costs. You are responsible for building a strong team of leaders in production and skilled manufacturing employees while demonstrating strong desire to coach and empower behaviors that are aligned with Arc’teryx culture and values. You partner closely with Engineering, quality, training and supply planning to achieve overall factory and company goals with synergy.

ARC’One, our manufacturing facility in New Westminster, is home to a team of skilled makers and technicians who bring Arc’teryx products to life. Located near our Design Center, the facility plays an important role in how we prototype, test, refine and manufacture the technical gear we are known for.  
Some of our most technically complex products, including Alpha SV and new product pilots, are built  here. The facility also supports ReBIRD repair and renewal programs, helping extend the life of Arc’teryx gear. This is hands-on, precision work where craftsmanship, problem-solving and continuous improvement come together on the production floor. Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

    • Oversee production operations, continually evaluating, and building synergy across Production and other factory supporting teams 

    • Accountable for all production pillars from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring all KPIs are being met or exceeded 

    • Optimize ARC’One capacity through process and system improvement, influencing scalable product mix solutions and smart talent acquisition, retention and development plans 

    • Responsible for achieving alignment with Supply Planning on capacity plan on all product lines as well as delivery dates and shared KPIs 

    • Develop effective workforce plans to ensure expected capacity is available or adjusted with alignment from stakeholders 

    • Develop, implement and evolve the necessary Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure all critical activities related to Production performance 

    • Build and fully communicate daily, weekly, and monthly targets by department and ensure the factory management team is focused on pre-aligned production priorities to deliver the result accordingly 

    • Prepare and communicate production status update and other relevant information to Supply Chain team in weekly meetings, partnering to alleviate production delays and unexpected changes 

    • Collaborate with Engineering and other production support teams to ensure the New Product Introduction process is meeting milestones; empower your team to provide and receive feedback to support mutual learning that contribute to DFM 

    • Align with the Quality team on brand and product quality expectations and mentor and coach the right behaviors in production team to uphold quality standards 

    • Lead, mentor, coach and develop a team of high performing Production Leaders by establishing appropriate level of accountability, structure and processes in order to drive the necessary behaviors to deliver results 

    • Coach our frontline leaders to collaborate with our training team to develop processes and strategies to identify knowledge, skill and ability gaps as well as high potential talents within all production teams and develop a prioritized training plan to address our needs 

    • Evolve our raw material planning and management process in our factory with our Planning team to create more visibility supporting the goals to reduce shortages and excess raw material 

    • You support with other special projects as assigned 

Are you our next Senior Manager, Production?

    • You have a Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Operations/Manufacturing Management and/or equivalent combination of education and experience  

    • You have 10+ years of manufacturing experience and 5+ years in a leadership role (apparel manufacturing is a bonus) 

    • You can set a clear vision in support of the company vision, put plans together to deliver the vision, and communicate and align your team and cross-functionally on the common vision and objective for optimal execution 

    • You have a complete understanding of the product lifecycle process 

    • You have proven track record for setting up and maintaining an excellent manufacturing environment  

    • You have a proven ability to influence and collaborate with a group of cross-functional stakeholders 

    • You have proven people leadership, mentorship and project management skills 

    • You demonstrate initiative, agility and commitment 

    • You have proven ability to work cross-functionally with excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills 

    • You are detailed and accuracy oriented with strong organizational skills 

    • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions 

    • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
