Hi, I’m Bryce Evans, Senior Development Manager at Jane. I joined in 2024, and I lead a group focused on how clinics communicate - with their patients, their teams, and increasingly, with intelligent systems that help them do both more effectively.
Before Jane, I spent a number of years building and leading engineering teams across startups and scaling companies. I care a lot about building strong teams and creating products that people genuinely love to use. That’s been a consistent thread throughout my career.
At Jane, our team is working directly on our mission to help the helpers. We’re focused on making communication between practitioners and patients more seamless, more reliable, and more impactful. That includes messaging, notifications, and some of the most exciting work happening at Jane right now - like how we can leverage artificial intelligence to change how our customers and their patients communicate with one another.
This role is exciting because it sits right at the center of that work. You’ll be contributing to high-impact, customer-facing products that are a top priority for the company, while also helping us explore how AI can meaningfully improve the way clinics operate day to day. It’s fast-moving, a bit ambiguous, and full of opportunities to make a real difference.
What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make
Take ownership of meaningful product and technical problems, driving them from early ambiguity through to thoughtful, high-quality delivery that improves how clinics communicate with their patients
Collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and designers to shape solutions, share context early, and keep work aligned as priorities evolve
Contribute across the stack, stepping into front end, backend, or systems work as needed to move projects forward and support your team
Continuously improve how we work by identifying opportunities to simplify, experiment, and iterate on both our product and our development practices
Support and mentor others on the team, helping raise the bar through thoughtful feedback, knowledge sharing, and a focus on delivering meaningful outcomes for our customers
8+ years of experience in software development, with the ability to independently drive medium-complexity projects from idea to completion
Experience working across the stack (frontend, backend, and systems), with depth in at least one area and comfort learning in others
Demonstrated ability to deliver work tied to real customer or business outcomes, not just technical improvements
Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and communicating clearly about tradeoffs, risks, and progress
A track record of mentoring or supporting other developers and contributing to a positive, growth-oriented team environment
If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
