Senior Back-End Developer – Backbase and .NETWe're looking for a Senior Back-End Developer with expertise in the Backbase digital banking platform and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem. We're seeking a consultative, client-facing developer who can design, build, integrate, and extend enterprise banking solutions using Backbase and .NET technologies. You'll work closely with clients, product teams, architects, and fellow engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and modern digital banking experiences.

You have strong experience designing and developing enterprise-grade applications using .NET and C#.

You can translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture.
You collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, and Engineers.

You value writing clean, maintainable, testable code and mentoring other developers.
You have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
You enjoy participating in peer code reviews and promoting engineering best practices.

Experience implementing, integrating, and extending the Backbase digital banking platform.
5+ years of professional software development experience with:
C#
.NET Core / .NET 6+
ASP.NET Core
Entity Framework
Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with SOAP and REST integrations, JSON, XML, and modern API design practices.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies.
Experience writing automated unit and integration tests using frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
Strong knowledge of Git and modern source control workflows.
Experience developing large-scale, enterprise-grade applications.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and systems handling sensitive customer data.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience working in financial services, fintech, banking, or professional services environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience working within Agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban.
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration practices.
Experience with Azure cloud-native services.
Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
Experience with OpenShift.
Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring developers.
Banking or digital banking domain expertise.
This is a 100% remote full-time position for candidates based in the Americas. Candidates located outside of Canada will only be able to work for the company as independent contractors.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is CAD $90K–$130K annually (or the equivalent hourly rate for candidates outside of Canada, who will be working as contractors). Compensation will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
