We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Senior Analyst, Capital Improvements to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.

This temporary position is expected to last 18 months.

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for supporting the development of standardized capital management practices, improving the quality and integrity of capital and asset data  and ensuring the successful implementation of new systems and business processes. In this role, you will be the analytical expert providing business process support while leading project coordination to deliver key strategic initiatives that strengthen capital planning, governance, and decision making.  

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation and rollout of PFG’s Capital Policy across the organization.
  • Analyzing existing capital planning, budgeting, and asset management processes to identify opportunities for improvement and standardization.
  • Partnering with Finance and operational stakeholders to ensure capital practices align with the policy and governance framework.
  • Representing Capital Management during enterprise system implementation and integration activities, ensuring business requirements are captured, validated, and effectively incorporated into system design.
  • Supporting business process mapping, system configuration, user acceptance training (UAT), and validation of capital management functionality.
  • Coordinating asset and capital data migration, cleansing, validation, and governance activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support capital planning, project monitoring, and management reporting.
  • Preparing process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials to support new policies and system implementation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and facilitating workshops to support business readiness, organizational change, and user adoption.
  • Identifying project risks, issues, and process gaps, and recommending practical solutions to support successful project delivery.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance capital management processes, reporting, and data governance.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, financial controls, regulatory requirements, and asset management best practices.

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, commerce, or a related discipline. A CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in capital management, financial analysis, asset management, or business analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation of capital policies, accounting policies, business transformation initiatives, or enterprise system implementations.
  • A strong understanding and practical application of Canadian accounting standards, including Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), particularly as they relate to capital assets, capitalization, amortization, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

  • A strong problem-solver with exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with finance, operations, and technical stakeholders.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results in a project-based environment with competing deadlines.

Compensation Details:

$85,062.00 - $106,328.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
