Our Product Designers are responsible for creating functional, visually appealing designs to address business needs and to delight users. They are passionate about creating exceptional, gratifying user experiences, advocating for the user-base, and constantly pushing to move the product-line forward. This particular role is focused on, but is not limited to, the company’s IT Operations modules.
Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in and lead design initiatives for the company’s software modules, as well as other UX initiatives.
- Work with Product Management to define and prioritize user stories and functional business requirements; assist in roadmap planning and in the company’s overall UX strategy.
- Translate user stories into functional business requirements and simple, easy-to-use design concepts.
- Work with Engineering and Product Management teams to define, analyze, and prototype software solutions.
- Create and document storyboards and prototypes illustrating product features and business workflows, to communicate with multiple departments.
- Provide elegant and simple design solutions that offer enhanced functionality while maintaining the integrity of the existing products.
- Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite system / software complexity.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the UX of the company’s products.
- Deliver enjoyable User Experience visions, accurate UI specifications, and prototypes.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in User Experience / User Interface design; developing consumer-facing applications; developing web User Experience designs.
- Strong understanding of UX / UI Design principles, and an ingrained sense of what makes an effective, delightful user experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, creativity, and multi-tasking ability; Ability to receive constructive critique of work and use it to improve quality; Ability to be part of a team and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong persuasive communication skills, with the ability to “sell” product visions and concepts to peers up through Leadership.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, often under aggressive deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Experience working with AI design/vibe tools, like Lovable.
- Experience contributing to design systems / component libraries.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of the MSP (technology Managed Service Provider) space is a (strong plus).
Location: Vancouver, BC
Compensation: CAD 100,000.00 - 125,000.00
