Your future team:

You will become part of the Sourcing and Procurement Team and will be reporting to the Procurement Director in North America. The team consists of 13 members currently including the team members from category management, purchasing and a procurement analyst.

What you will be doing:

As a key player in our dynamic team, you will lead the charge in developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring optimal cost savings and supplier performance. Your exceptional negotiation skills will be put to the test as you build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, securing advantageous contracts. We expect you to bring your A-game in project management, driving cost optimization initiatives and collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Your analytical mindset will be crucial for market analysis and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, but a typical day would entail:
 

  • Identifying potential new sources of supply for cost savings, operations efficiency, and or business continuity planning.
  • Cultivate strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and terms for optimal value.
  • Oversee performance of inbound logistics and relationships with material supplier partners.
  • Current and future market information on applicable commodities, Industry indexes, forecasts, and major material cost drivers.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within procurement.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage potential risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity.
  • Compliance: Ensure procurement processes adhere to regulations and company policies.
  • Above all, taking pride in relationship building to set our team and Rockwool up for continued success.

What you bring:

  • A bachelor degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in Procurement in a multi-site manufacturing setting.
  • Expertise in packaging particularly within the food and CPG business or chemical procurement, would be a valuable asset.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure, coupled with strong communication skills, sets you apart.
  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing principles, tendering processes, supplier selection, and management, including fostering relationships with suppliers is crucial.
