Administer day-to-day payroll and benefits for US and Canadian employees: process semi-monthly payroll, prepare tax forms and ROEs, maintain payroll records, perform reconciliations with benefit carriers, apply pay policies, assist year-end procedures, pull HRIS reports, and support People Operations inquiries.

Reporting to the Senior Director, People Operations, Total Rewards and RMO, the Payroll Coordinator supports the Kabam’s payroll team to administer the day-to-day payroll and benefits for all Canadian and US employees.
This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.
This role is a Temporary Full-Time position (with a duration of 6 months).
In this role, you can expect to:
- Process full cycle semi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employee for review.
- Prepare tax forms such as T4s.
- Maintain employee payroll records and update changes.
- Provides support in the calculation and input of all payroll entries, including prior period adjustment, new hires, termination, etc.
- Prepare and issue Record of Employment (ROEs).
- Assist with year-end procedures and tax filings.
- Prepare reconciliations, payments, and payroll changes relating to various extended health benefit carriers.
- Apply pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Prepare historical compensation data for executive leadership team.
- Pull reports from HRIS system.
- Support the People Operations team with inquiries.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, your background includes:
- Completed (or working towards) Payroll Compliance Professional designation.
- 1+ years of Payroll and Benefits administration experience for Canada and/or the US.
- Knowledge of federal, provincial, and state payroll regulations and requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and GSuite.
- Experience with US pay and benefits programs is a strong asset.
