This includes leading the histology function, managing priorities, planning and performing lab experiments, analyzing data, and presenting the results to a diverse audience. Your contributions will be critical in advancing healthcare, driving the development of bioprinted tissue therapeutics that have the potential to revolutionize the treatment of diseases previously deemed incurable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of histology procedures while verifying and maintaining quality standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand goals and guide the histology team to set priorities and complete studies.

  • Education + Experience: MSc or BSc in relevant scientific disciplines, 4-6 years of industry experience. A demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of histology procedures through certification as histo-technologist and/or histo-technician. Experience in managing histology operations is essential.
  • Histology knowledge: Expert level understanding and hands on experience with microtomy, standard histology stains such as H&E, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
  • Immunology background: Experience evaluating innate or adaptive immune responses to implanted biomaterials through histology would be highly beneficial to your application.
  • Problem Solver: You love immersing yourself in difficult technical problems and coming up with solutions that work. You think outside the box and use your experience and intuition to identify when such solutions are realistic.
  • Detail-Oriented & Meticulously Organized: You have outstanding attention to detail as well as experimental and process rigor. You take pride in your work and strive for excellence. You can multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and have a track record for delivering work on time.
