veritree and Job Overview

veritree is an award-winning climate tech start-up based in Vancouver. Launched in 2021, our technology measures and verifies the impact of global restoration efforts from the ground up. We are on a mission to plant 1 billion verified trees by 2030, collaborating with businesses, planting organizations, and consumers who believe in the transformative power of verified restoration projects to create real and meaningful impact for the planet, nature, and people.

veritree is seeking a Director, Marketing to lead the programs that take our offering to market and turn attention into pipeline and revenue. This role owns four areas: product marketing, full-funnel campaigns, co-marketing with our existing clients, and events. You will set the strategy for each, lead the people who run them, and be accountable for the pipeline, revenue, and retention they produce.

This role is ideal for a hands-on marketing leader with B2B SaaS or climate tech experience who enjoys both building the plan and getting close to the work. You will work hand in hand with our Head of Content and Creative Services so that ads, campaigns, decks, and other materials come together and are put to full use. You will also collaborate closely with our Forest, Customer Success, Outbound, and Sales teams.

6 Month Key Outcomes (6mKOs)
  1. Our story is sharp and in use. Veritree’s positioning, messaging, and ICP are refreshed and adopted across Sales, with a messaging framework, launch playbook, and enablement library the team relies on every day.
  2. Inbound is a growth engine. Integrated campaigns are bringing new buyers to us, with defined funnel stages, targets, and lead handoffs agreed with Sales. Marketing-sourced qualified pipeline is growing month over month, with clean attribution in HubSpot to show what’s working.
  3. The 2027 plan is built and funded. An approved 2027 marketing roadmap and budget covers campaigns, cadence, Content and Creative Services support, and an H1 events plan where every event is tied to pipeline or customer goals.
  4. Co-marketing is live. A repeatable co-marketing program is running with our clients, with at least one joint campaign launched alongside Customer Success and a clear link to retention and expansion.
12 Month Key Outcomes (12mKOs)
  1. Marketing is a predictable growth driver. Inbound and marketing-influenced pipeline hit agreed targets, backed by a data-driven channel mix and a forecast Sales can plan around.
  2. Higher conversion rates. Win rate and deal velocity improve as positioning, proof points, competitive enablement, and nurture programs help Sales move buyers faster.
  3. We’re reaching new markets. Messaging, campaigns, and proof points are in market for at least one new segment, with qualified pipeline to show for it.
  4. Our clients tell our story. Co-marketing runs on a regular cadence, client stories built with our Forest team’s impact data become a signature content engine, and the program shows measurable lift in retention and expansion.
  5. Every event earns its place. The full-year events program reports return on every event, and the 2028 calendar is shaped by results.
  6. A great team is in place. The marketing team is hired and performing against clear goals, working in rhythm with Content and Creative Services, Sales, and Customer Success.
