Position Overview

As a recognized leader in Canada’s tourism industry, the Capilano Group is in the business of creating experiences people are amazed by. The Capilano Group is comprised of the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, Stanley Park Pavilion and Prospect Point Café in Vancouver, Moraine Lake Lodge in Lake Louise, and Cathedral Mountain Lodge in Yoho National Park. Our administrative offices are based at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in North Vancouver.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Part-Time Accounting Assistant plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance team. This position is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in accounting who is looking to gain practical experience in a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of accounting, administrative, and clerical tasks while developing valuable skills and knowledge within a dynamic and collaborative workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Organize, file, and maintain financial documents and records
  • Sort and process incoming invoices, receipts, and correspondence
  • Perform data entry and basic spreadsheet tasks in Microsoft Excel
  • Assist with document scanning, copying, and archiving
  • Support the accounting team with general administrative duties as needed
  • Help prepare documents for audits or month-end processes
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accounting, finance, or related degree program
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, simple formulas)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Prior office or administrative experience is a plus but not required
Schedule
  • Hours: 2–3 days per week (approximately 12–20 hours), with flexibility around class schedules
Wage: $21 per hour
