Job Description

The Channel Account Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans to acquire new business for assigned solutions and services to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share. This individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships at assigned accounts and engaging with distributors to ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner manager for distributors in Alberta and BC. Primary liaison with distributors in assigned territory.
  • Formulates business strategies and plans to grow overall sales and market share
  • Coordinates activities and resource utilization with others in the sales organization
  • Implement and measures all Rockwell Automation market access commercial programs
  • Act as the single point of contact for each assigned distributor
  • Manages the development of assigned distributors and their performance.
  • Analyzes account requirements and develops account penetration plans with the distributor and Rockwell account manager to increase market share.
  • Measures distributor performance and implements distributor performance improvement programs.
  • Facilitates the implementation of new product launches and promotional programs through the direction of all channel team resources, including the distributor's personnel.
  • Takes an active role in coaching distributor personnel and evaluating their competency in the support of Rockwell Automation products and services.
  • Assures that we have a consistent, high level of distributor capability to serve all customers in the assigned territory.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Additional business-related degree/experience preferred.
  • Prior experience (5+ years) in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration or an engineering firm
  • Experience selling services (contractual and transactional) to manufacturing companies (headquarter locations and plants)
  • Experience selling software (SaaS, IaaS, Information Solutions, etc.)
  • Experience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant (customer) including CXOs, VPs, plant engineers and OEM machine builders.

For this role, the total target compensation is 125,680.00-188,520.00 CAD Annual, of which 70% is base salary and 30% is variable. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
