Job Summary

Introba is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Climate and Sustainability to lead our North American team and drive the growth and evolution of our Climate and Sustainability practice across the region.
This senior leadership role is designed for a transformational leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, technical innovation, and operational execution, and who is passionate about building a more resilient and decarbonized future. More information will be providing during the interview process.
This position can be based out of any metropolitan area within North America with easy access to key office locations.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • ·Set and execute a bold vision for climate and sustainability aligned with global objectives and regional market needs.

  • Identify emerging trends and proactively evolve the practice to meet future demands.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on climate-related risk and opportunity.

Growth and Sales

  • Lead the development and execution of a clear growth strategy for sustainability services.

  • Drive year-over-year increases in pursuits, pipeline conversion, and net service revenue.

  • Collaborate with climate and sustainability team leads, sector leaders and marketing team to position sustainability as a differentiator in key pursuits.

  • Support key client relationship building for early pipeline opportunity positioning

Operational Excellence

  • Deliver consistent improvements in chargeability, utilization, and direct labor multiplier (DLM).

  • Oversee accurate forecasting, resourcing, project planning, and financial performance metrics.

  • Ensure effective use of project management tools and practices across all teams.

Team Development

  • Mentor and support development of senior climate and sustainability leads

  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.

  • Support team leads resource planning, as needed, balancing near-term delivery needs with long-term growth and hiring strategies.

Market and Brand Positioning

  • Enhance Introba’s visibility and influence through thought leadership, publications, and events.

  • Represent the company in client engagements, panels, and industry forums.

  • Lead the development of new service offerings aligned with market needs.

  • Oversee market analysis and intelligence gathering to inform service development, positioning strategies, and competitive differentiation.

Global Integration

  • Build strong ties with global and regional sustainability leaders across the business.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, best practices, and service innovation globally.

  • Align North American strategies with global frameworks and sustainability ambitions.

Success Metrics – What Success Looks Like

Team and Culture

  • A unified team with clear purpose, strong collaboration, and high engagement.

  • Regrettable attrition maintained below 12%; clear development and succession planning in place.

Commercial Growth

  • Sustained increase in proposals and net service revenue (NSR) year-over-year.

  • Introba recognized as a top-tier sustainability partner across target sectors.

  • Achievement aligned with Strategic Plan 30 ambitions, including 2x growth in climate and sustainability services by 2030.

Operational Performance

  • DLM, chargeability, and productivity tracked through KPIs, with outcomes aligned to strategic and financial goals.

  • Total WIP write-downs under 5%; AR days under 90.

Client and Market Impact

  • High client satisfaction and repeat business across all major sectors.

  • Expanded presence in all sectors Introba operates in

Global Connectivity

  • Active contribution to global sustainability initiatives, frameworks, and knowledge platforms.

  • Shared metrics, tools, and services deployed collaboratively across regions.

Candidate Profile

Required:

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in sustainability, climate, environmental consulting, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams and growing business lines.

  • Strong track record of client engagement and revenue generation.

  • Deep subject matter expertise in climate action, decarbonization, and/or high-performance design.

  • Experience operating within large, matrixed organizations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, sustainability, environmental science).

  • Recognized as an established leader within the sustainability industry, with strong networks and visibility across North America, ideally spanning both U.S. and Canadian markets.

Preferred:

  • Experience working across geographic regions, particularly in a global firm.

  • Familiarity with incentive structures, corporate sustainability frameworks, and global reporting standard

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
