The successful candidate will be an engaged strategic partner with other teams and departments and will deal with issues arising from the daily operation (both people and systems). Compensation Package : $58,800 - $78,500 CAD annually + bonus eligibility + Long Term Incentive eligibility

- Proactively fostering and promoting the safe work habits of employees. Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed. Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents.
- Work closely with Production management and team members to achieve production goals and objectives efficiently.
- Win with customers and consumers by ensuring all product quality specifications are being followed and adhered to, with an emphasis on minimizing variance.
- Communicate to all employees on staff, as well as to supervision on other crews.
- Ensure all HACCP Guidelines, Rules and Regulations are being followed throughout the food production process, including the proper completion of all required documentation.
- Lead and Promote MDI activities for packaging area.
- Develop talent and conduct on the job training with all new employees, ensuring that employees are properly trained in their positions.
- Manage and approve employee hours in the Dimensions time keeping system.
- Oversee performance management system for production employees including performance appraisals and coaching and progressive discipline as required.
- Participation in departmental planning sessions, post-run reviews and other activities as required.
- Miscellaneous related duties that may be assigned, including conducting test runs on new or existing products, accident investigation, etc.
- Coach, lead and mentor the shift packaging lead hand.

- Demonstrated ability leading, influencing, motivating, and training others.
- Strong process improvement skills (ability to develop and implement processes).
- Sound fact-based decision making and problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering results.
- Clear understanding of manufacturing business process in a lean manufacturing environment; formal training in Lean Manufacturing desired.
- Experience in process design and productivity improvements.
- Demonstrated ability leading, influencing, motivating, and training others.
- Ability to work rotating shifts as required (including weekends) to operate production facilities and meet customer demands.
- Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with employees throughout various levels in the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, involving days, nights, and every other weekend.
