Job Description

**3rd Shift Candidate**

For this position, we need a technically strong, detail oriented Project Manager / Value Add Engineer who can fully own customer projects from RFQ to delivery. This is not an administrative PM role—it's a blend of technical project ownership, CAD competency, quoting expertise, reverse engineering, fabrication understanding, and customer management.

Open to locations: Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Langley, Fort Langley, Abbottsford, Maple Ridge, White Rock, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Vancouver, Mission, Port Moody

The ideal candidate brings:

• Advanced CAD skills, especially SolidWorks, and experience preparing/repairing customer files (STEP, DXF, IGES).
• Reverse engineering capability—able to rebuild models, interpret incomplete drawings, and generate accurate manufacturing packages.
• Exceptional drawing reading skills, including GD&T, tolerances, hardware callouts, and fabrication notes.
• Deep quoting experience, especially translating complex CAD files into accurate time, routing, and material cost estimates.
• A strong understanding of the full sheet metal and fabrication process, including laser/punch, forming, welding, machining, hardware, and finishes.
• Outstanding customer service and communication, acting as a calm, clear, technical point of contact for multiple accounts.
• High computer literacy, including advanced Excel, ERP/MRP tools, CAD viewers, and excellent digital organization.
We want someone who thrives in a high mix, fast moving fabrication environment and is energized by solving customer challenges with practical, manufacturable solutions.

WOW!! Factors (Top Tier Candidate Signals)
Recruiters should watch for:

• Strong reverse engineering background (rebuilding legacy parts, handling incomplete drawings, physical part measurement).
• Experience in a fabrication job shop or a high mix, short run manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of accurate quoting, especially for assemblies, hardware installation, and multi step fabrication workflows.
• CAD mastery beyond basic modeling—surface repair, sheet metal best practices, bend calculations, flat pattern optimization.
• Ability to speak confidently about DFM, manufacturability trade offs, and process routing decisions.
• Experience interfacing directly with engineers, buyers, and product designers, not just internal teams.
• Someone who naturally creates clean documentation, organized digital files, and tight revision control.
• Demonstrated ability to run multiple technical projects simultaneously without dropping details.
• A mindset of ownership—not waiting for information, but chasing it.
If a candidate naturally talks about reducing errors, improving customer clarity, solving manufacturability issues, or catching drawing mistakes early—they’re a standout.
