The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Training Specialist to work at our facility in Muscatine, IA. The position will have responsibility for the management of training their designated area but will also require the flexibility to work across all departments supporting the Plant-Wide Training initiatives. This position will ensure successful completion of all required training and will be required to maintain and report on key training measures. This position will help coordinate training for new hires, transfers, upgrades, and certification of current team members along with maintaining skill matrix and qualification card processes. This position, with assistance from others, ensures that the knowledge required to perform the position has been effectively transferred from the trainer to the trainee, and will ensure that documentation of the completed training is maintained as required. This position will drive training development and tracking, as well as monitor all job specific training needs for an area, with the aid of the Onboarding/Training Coordinators.

Job Overview:

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provides the vital training, direction and facilitation to the employees within the team to accomplish business goals.
- Create, audit, and update SOP, JSA's and Safe Practices as needed.
- Assess internal training to determine effectiveness and improvement opportunities
- Maintain tracking of training and development activities.
- Perform audits of training processes to ensure plant is at 100% compliance.
- Coordinate people, materials and schedules for training activities.
- Provide organizational assistance for audits whenever necessary.
- Help build and implement a job skills management program in the Operations group.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of new hire orientation.
- Work closely with Onboarding Coordinators to assure timely sign off of new hire qualification cards. Identify and make recommendations for trainees who may need additional assistance to be successful in assigned roles.
- Work closely with the trainers, trainees and supervisor to assist in providing performance feedback.
- Mentor and coach trainers to continue to improve the training process.
- Participate and coordinate roundtables to ensure the efficiency of our training programs
- Responsible for maintaining/updating qualification cards for positions in the Plant.
- Responsible for crafting new qualification cards as new positions are created.
- Responsible for helping build and sustain visual management tools within the Plant.
- Assist with creating and maintaining Standard Work for the facility.
- Follow up with new employees as employees move to new areas/jobs to ensure their training is identified and completed.
- Work closely with department heads on establishing training timelines for the different positions within the Plant.
- Use training matrix and Connected Worker Platform to track training completions.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

- Must have solid communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must have demonstrated computer literacy in a variety of programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

- Able to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Able to work with a variety of people and lead people to accomplish tasks.
- Must have proven ability to accept change and strive for continuous improvement
- This position will require on-going engagement with our employees
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Works overtime as required
- Flexibility to adjust shift schedule to work with employees on other shifts as required
