We are currently seeking a Technical Content Developer with AI Expertise to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

The successful candidate will be part of a technical content team that captures content for new and existing cybersecurity software products for Fortinet customers and internal audiences. Technical documentation is published to the Fortinet Document Library at https://docs.fortinet.com/.

You must have a passion for technology, especially GenAI. You are detail oriented with stamina for highly technical content and enjoy working with others to contribute to large documentation sets. You have experience using internal AI and LLMs combined with experience using in-development products to research changes and produce technical documentation.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA, writers, and others to understand new features, use cases, and customer scenarios to:

  • Own and publish new feature guides, administration guides, reference materials, and use-case scenarios for new software releases
  • Update and automate the release notes process for products
  • Receive and address feedback with the goal of filling content gaps and continually improving content 
  • Use internal AI and LLM to speed the writing process and optimize quality 
  • Develop tools with AI’s assistance to automate repetitive tasks
  • Apply data-driven approach to analyzing knowledge gaps using data analytics and AI assistance
  • Train LLMs with product knowledge to answer customer questions on product concepts and configurations
  • Contribute to modernizing the authoring and publishing process using scripting and automation

We Are Looking For:

  • Experience and curiosity with GenAI and its use cases to automate time-consuming tasks
  • Experience working in software development environments
  • Ability to convert complex technical information into clean, concise, and coherent end-user documentation 
  • Experience using scripting languages (Python, php, etc..) to automate tasks
  • Experience with HTML and Javascript for web-based publishing
  • Experience using AI to enhance and enrich technical writing
  • Experience with building tools to automate writing, researching, authoring, and publishing tasks
  • BA or BS degree, preferably in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, MIS, or a related field

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $61,000 - $82,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
