THE TEAM

The mission of the Trade & Customs teams is to enable the cross-border movement of goods and lead the company’s trade and customs compliance strategy, playing a vital role in Aritzia’s global commerce.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Trade & Customs team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for imports and exports across all trade channels. You will play a pivotal role in managing cross border movement of goods and related information efficiently and effectively, to maximize business value, ensure compliance, and drive strategic trade optimization through targeted programs and cross-functional collaboration. THE ROLE

As the Manager, Trade Optimization, you will lead the team to:

  • Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.

  • Strategically develop Aritzia’s trade and customs approach to uphold our competitive advantage

  • Adhere to laws and regulations that ensure goods are imported, exported, and declared correctly

  • Minimize Aritzia’s duty liability while optimizing our cash flow

  • Manage the seamless execution of our day-to-day business and initiatives

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Manager, Trade Optimization, has:

  • Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in:

  • Licensed US Customs Broker, or Canada CCS Certification required

  • Experience managing duty optimization programs such as free trade agreements, first sale, duty drawback/deferral, and tariff classification consultation

  • Experience with trade program financial analysis and audit of big data (BI, Excel, etc.)

  • Team leadership experience preferred

  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles

  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners

  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.

The range for roles at this level is $100,000–$150,000 CAD per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range.
