About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join the Ting Internet Finance team and play a pivotal role in driving financial visibility, strategic planning, and cost optimization. Our FP&A function is focused on delivering accurate 3-statement financial planning (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow), in-depth variance analysis, and actionable insights to support informed decision-making and business growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing management reporting, developing financial dashboards, and delivering strategic reports that guide decision-making at all levels of the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Ting Internet to ensure financial transparency and efficiency. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysis, you will contribute to building a scalable, data-driven FP&A function that supports both current performance optimization and long-term strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and executive reports to provide visibility into key performance trends.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and business benchmarks, including financial performance metrics for internal and external reporting.
  • Utilize BI tools to automate reporting and deliver meaningful insights into business performance.
  • Provide detailed cost center variance analysis and commentary on actuals vs. budget/forecast.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Analyze historical budgets and current expenditures to inform and develop accurate future forecasts
  • Support the annual budgeting process, as well as the monthly and/or quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop the medium to long term financial and strategic plan
  • Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with IT and other stakeholders to automate financial and operational reporting, and streamline data management.
  • Work with Business Unit heads to analyze and interpret financial results against budgets and forecasts.
  • Present financial insights to executive leadership, ensuring clarity and actionability.

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Review and refine financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue optimization, and streamlined operations.
  • Leverage technology and automation to enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education with 5+ years of related FP&A, finance operations, or financial advisory experience, preferably in a multi-location, SaaS or telecommunications environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial statements, financial analysis, and financial modelling, with a proven track record in business development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • CPA, CBV, MBA and/or CFA designation is an asset but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $83,810 to $98,600. Range shown in $CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
