Job Description:

What you will achieve in this role:

  • Configuration: Build new calculation rules, add calculation components, workflow components and reporting needs within the fully owned business applications (e.g. Varicent – Sales Performance Management)
  • Reporting: Build and modify an array of reporting within the platform. This includes building operational reports, health/error reports, internal reporting & client facing reporting such as statements
  • Testing: Create and facilitate test cases to ensure accuracy in the various components. Work closely with other financial operations teams to drive out scenarios and obtain feedback
  • Analysis: Participate in the analysis to support implementation of new functionality within the platform. Integration of new releases, best practices and optimization within our existing models
  • Requirements: Work closely with our business partners as part of the engagement to truly understand the needs and requirements of the business and offer solutions at a granular level of detail
  • Documentation: As part of the Centre of Excellence, document business needs in a form of requirements, testing documents (scenarios, cases, expected results & actual results) and collect the appropriate approvals/support to implement
  • Support: Provide support to our operational teams in diagnosing and resolving any configuration issues within the platform
  • Doing PDCs (Production Data Change) – Submission of PDC request, ensuring the approvals and carrying out the change.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting user inquiries, analyzing issues, diagnosing problems and providing resolutions.
  • Creating and updating process documents covering change management, incident management, problem management etc. Maintaining run books, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for smooth operations.
  • Reporting operational metrics, performance indicators and service level achievement. Identifying areas of improvement.
  • Document, track and report on issues, resolutions, and system changes.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel with respect to functions, pivot tables, formulas
  • Working knowledge of relational databases e.g. keys, joins and inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Basic understanding of SQL would be an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences
  • Experience with configuration of business platforms (e.g. Varicent, PEGA, JIRA)
