About The Job
Corinex is seeking a dynamic and creative Software QA Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation smart grid communication devices. In this role, you will play a key part in the full product lifecycle—from system architecture and design through to development, testing, and optimization. You will collaborate closely with hardware, product management, and testing teams to deliver reliable, high-performance embedded solutions for our cutting-edge energy technology.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in embedded systems, particularly in C/C++, Bash, and Python within Embedded Linux environments. You will be expected to translate complex requirements into scalable firmware components, contribute to system-level design discussions, and drive continuous improvements in quality and efficiency. This role is suited for a hands-on engineer with a passion for smart infrastructure and a desire to help modernize global energy systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an agile, cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Design and implement comprehensive test scenarios, plans, and methodologies to detect defects and ensure high test coverage of use cases and features.
- Own the QA process from requirements gathering and environment setup to test execution.
- Participate in all phases of the software testing lifecycle, including feature testing, regression testing, test case development, and bug triage.
- Document and analyze test results, work closely with developers, and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of automated testing systems.
- Maintain an up-to-date test repository aligned with evolving feature development.
- Support and expand test automation efforts to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in lab environment setup, testing infrastructure maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Investigate, debug, and document issues, providing detailed reports for resolution.
- Provide accurate time estimates for all QA activities and consistently meet delivery targets.
- Proactively follow up on identified defects and assigned tasks, maintaining clear communication with management.
- Contribute to achieving personal, team, and organizational goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software QA or embedded systems testing, preferably in networking or communications environments.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, or C/C++.
- Solid understanding of embedded Linux systems, including kernel, drivers, and firmware testing.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, such as PyTest or Robot Framework.
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet) and tools like Wireshark.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or similar testing environments is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
