Analog Devices’ Digital Enablement Software team is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic entry-level software engineer to join our SDK and Tools Development group. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of embedded software and tools that support some of ADI’s most advanced ASIC products. You’ll be part of a small, agile team of experienced engineers passionate about delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of embedded software for ADI’s ASIC products.
- Contribute to the creation of a new SDK and integration of IDEs to accelerate customer adoption.
- Help develop and release SDKs, application examples, and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design reviews and testing.
- Develop host-side tools for Windows and Linux environments.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Create and execute test procedures and scripts.
- Support the development of technical documentation such as application notes, quick start guides, and user manuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Solid understanding of C and/or C++ programming.
- Familiarity with standard compilers and IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, KEIL, Visual Studio Code). Also, experience with Windows development (i.e. DLLs).
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and real-time concepts; experience with Linux as an embedded OS.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with device drivers and analog/comms interfaces (SPI, I2C, Ethernet).
- Understanding of ARM microcontroller architecture and RISC principles.
- Experience with board bring-up, BSPs, and debugging embedded systems.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (IP, TCP/UDP, DHCP, ICMP).
- Comfortable using development tools like Git, vi, gdb, etc.
