Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions from inceptions to production. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Active role in coding and code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Ability to understand the requirements and size the effort with concise estimation. Communicate with all the stakeholders including business partners, other technical partners, UI/UX partners. Work with production support team in order to triage the issues and come up with root cause analysis involved for resolving the same.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Architect, Tech Lead, Project Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Architect, Tech Lead, Project Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: various terminal commands in Linux and Windows platform; different types of software development process including, designing mobile application solutions using MVVM design pattern and analyzing the webservice request and response using Postman, implementing web view bridge to communicate between web and native application, writing mobile application solution using coroutines, higher order function, extension functions and perform Functional Testing and Automated Testing, maintaining the code in Bitbucket and its various command including fork, clone, branch, merge, cherry-pick, push, revert, fetch and commit, moving stories and defects in Jira from ready state to done state, tracking screen id, action id, communication event using Adobe Analytics, and delivering bug free mobile solution by using various Android Studio features including profiling, debugging, logcat, building, syncing & deploying the application to the emulator and actual device and the differences between Agile and Waterfall; building mobile application that uses Jenkins job to deploy, merge and run the unit test; different types of building blocks of Java and various Java design patterns such as singleton pattern and factory pattern; implementing an application that uses JavaScript; different types of SQL query to store and retrieve the data; implementing mobile applications that uses REST API for data communication between servers that utilize JSON formatted data files for data transfer; implementing of application that uses Maven as repository store to the artifact; security key enforcement, API management, and cloud-based messaging using Google Cloud Platform; monitoring various web service logs using Splunk; GIT version control tool and their various feature or command; writing Unit Test using Junit; building mobile applications using Android using various Android libraries including Jetpack, Retrofit, RxJava, Picasso, Butterknife, ViewBinding, Espresso and Mockito; implementing the Android UI using XML and various security aspect of Android application including App Signing, Authentication and Encryption; implementing mobile applications using Kotlin and its various advantages over JAVA; C++; CSS; HTML.
