Builder.io is looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing AI Services team.

About the team:

Builder.io’s AI Services team is a fast growing team focused on accelerating the speed of development for product and engineering teams of all sizes. This global team is responsible for Builder.io’s Develop product, which enables teams to quickly go from Figma designs to production code that seamlessly fits in alongside the rest of the codebase. They also innovate in ways to accelerate the development of interactive experiences with the Visual Editor AI assistant; adding powerful natural language tools to make designs and content come to life in our Visual Development environment.

As a Software Engineer, you will...

  • Work closely with other engineer and product managers to design and build world-class product experiences
  • Take end to end responsibility of your features; including implementation, gathering feedback,  testing, and deployment
  • Champion the needs of Builder’s customer base through customer empathy, iteration, bug fixes, and feature ownership
  • Be given opportunities to stretch yourself by learning new technologies and staying up to date with new advancements in the AI and software engineering worlds

You will thrive in this role if you have…

  • 4+ years experience in web development
  • Experience with React and other frontend frameworks
  • Experience with node.js and Typescript
  • Experience building systems utilizing cloud based services like Google Cloud, and AWS.
  • Experience building scalable application backends is a plus, but not required
  • An iterative approach to building software, capable of continually looking for feedback to make your work better for the team and customers

The items above are a starting point for a conversation, not a hard list of requirements. If this role excites you, we hope you will apply!

The estimated base salary for the Software Engineer role is $120,000 - $165,000 USD. In addition to salary, total compensation will include meaningful company equity. Ranges may vary for candidates residing outside of the US, and will be discussed with the hiring manager early in the interview process. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors discovered during the interview process, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

What Builder.io offers you:

  • Unlimited time off. 3 weeks is the minimum that we will ask you to take each year
  • Mental health days. We encourage you to take at least one per quarter to recharge
  • Paid parental leave. 12 weeks of full pay for the birth and care of a newborn child, or for the placement of a child for adoption or foster care

About Builder.io:

Builder.io is pioneering the space between design and development, creating a new category of Visual Development Platform that transforms how teams build digital products.

Our Visual Copilot technology bridges the gap between Figma designs and production code, enabling teams to build interactive features using natural language while working with their actual code, data, and APIs. Alongside our code generation capabilities, our CMS empowers organizations to skip code generation altogether and publish updates to any live site or app in a couple clicks.

Trusted by leading mid-market to enterprise-level companies like JCrew, Vimeo, and Anheuser Busch, we're focused on eliminating the traditional bottlenecks between design, development, and content management.

Builder.io is committed to growing an inclusive and diverse team. We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran, genetic information, marital status or any other legally protected status.
