Benevity is looking for a Software Developer in Test (SDT) with a specialization in Performance Testing to join our team. As a key player in our quality strategy, you will be responsible for ensuring our Saas platform can scale to meet peak demand, especially during our busy season. You'll leverage your strong coding skills and deep understanding of performance testing methodologies to enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of our web-based products and APls. You'll design, develop, and maintain automated performance test suites, ensuring seamless integration into our Cl/CD pipelines. A champion of best practices in performance engineering, you'll collaborate closely with developers and QA to drive performance optimizations, proactively identify bottlenecks, and ensure our services can keep up with the required transactions per second (tps).

What you’ll do:

  • Design, write, and maintain automated performance test scripts for web applications and APIs to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Lead performance testing preparations for our busy season, including load, stress, and scalability testing to ensure our services meet high traffic demands
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps to integrate performance tests into the build and CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and work with development teams to resolve issues
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including response times, throughput (tps), and resource utilization
  • Create detailed performance test plans and follow a defined test strategy, ensuring alignment with product and engineering goals
  • Drive improvements in performance testing processes, tooling, and efficiency.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and test automation, with a focus on performance testing
  • Strong expertise in writing and maintaining performance tests using frameworks like JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript and PHP
  • Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) tools and debugging

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Enthusiastic about learning and applying new technologies like Al/GenAl testing approaches
