To enable that experience, our Systems Engineering team strives to build performant, reliable, and scalable infrastructure to empower Clio’s engineering teams to do their best work.
We seek a Systems Engineer, Production to join our developer experience team. This is a remote position. This role can be performed from one of our Canadian offices, remotely across Canada, or a combination of both, excluding Quebec.
Candidate must possess strong development skills and be proficient in writing, debugging, and optimizing code across multiple programming languages.
A day in the life might look like:

Collaborating with software developers and crafting Go code to refine and improve local development tooling, ensuring a smooth start-to-ship experience.

Proactively enhancing our observability to ensure top-tier reliability.

Overseeing the CI/CD processes, ensuring performance, reliability and security

Partnering with Engineering teams to define cloud architecture and implement

Leading technical discussions and initiatives, becoming a driving force in improving developer efficiency and experience.

Mentoring team members, sharing expertise, and conducting knowledge sessions to uplift everyone's skill set.

Experience with Observability tools like Datadog, ELK, Prometheus and Grafana

Experience managing AWS resources with Pulumi or Terraform.

Experience with CI-CD systems, such as Buildkite, ShipIt, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Both in with the pipelines as well as the creation, configuration and maintenance of these systems as a whole
-
Experience supporting local development in a distributed services architecture. Experience with containerization technologies, especially Docker.
Serious bonus points if you have:

Experience managing AWS resources with Pulumi or Terraform.

Development experience in Ruby, Python or GoLang

Experience managing self-hosted CI/CD systems
-
Experience with package management processes

Experience with Kubernetes

The full salary range* for this role is $116,500 to $137,000 to $157,500 CAD.Please note salary bands may differ based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may differ depending on the employee's location.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
