Senior Specialist, Strategic Revenue Planning & Economics-1
As Senior Specialist Strategic Revenue Planning & Economics, you will be part of the broader Digital Transformation Team in Core Payments Team at Mastercard. You will be working in a truly global context and focus on coordinating the development of a medium- to long-term revenue plan and support the development of pricing initiatives and lifecycle management pricing strategies.
In this position, you will be supporting global pricing initiatives for MasterCard core products and services. You will support senior team members to analyze, assess, and implement initiatives to strengthen MasterCard’s’ competitive position at a product level while considering the regional and market-specific realities. By enhancing and shaping Mastercard economics you play an important role in the development and adoption of innovative payment solutions.
You will own individual work streams in the medium- to long-term strategic revenue planning effort, creating visibility on the Core Payments services revenue evolution and working with senior team members and peer level stakeholders to initiate revenue acceleration efforts.
You will have broad exposure within the organization and work closely with Global & Regional Product management representatives and liaise with the key functional partners in Finance and regional pricing & interchange teams. You will serve as a partner for the senior team members and support them on key projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analytical skills combined with a keen desire to learn more about the payments industry and the drive to develop into a senior pricing & revenue planning leader

Role:
In the role you will:
• Develop, implement, and optimize pricing models for core products and services
• Identify and design opportunities to strengthen the economics of Mastercard’s products and services
• Assess, in close collaboration with the senior team members, multiple workstreams of the different initiatives incorporating multiple perspectives such as strategic, risk, customer impact, feasibility...
• Run financial impact simulations and scenario analyses on country, product and customer level
• Prepare recommendations and necessary materials for decision-making purposes and present recommendations to senior team members
• Collaborate closely with the senior team members on product- and/or regional-specific initiatives
• Participate in cross-functional teams and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, e.g. country & account management, Finance, O&T, Legal, …
• Participate into global economics projects to accelerate data analytics (not developing reporting dashboards)
All About You
The ideal candidate:
• Combines strong analytical and quantitative skills with business acumen and an eagerness to learn and high level of curiosity
• Innovative and creative thinker with a proactive & hands-on approach to solving complex problems, strong team player
• Has a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Is proficient in Excel and masters programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modeling
• Is detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Is able to conduct complex analysis with an ability to translate data-driven technical and analytical output into crisp insights and recommendations
• Has excellent English communication skills (verbally and written)
• Good sense of humor
