This role sits at the intersection of:
software engineering
private markets / alternative investments

You won’t just be handed specs — you’ll help define how alternative investments are structured, delivered, and scaled through software.
If you’re excited about building products that bring traditionally opaque, manual asset classes into modern, scalable platforms — this will be a strong fit.
What You Will DoBuild the Alternatives PlatformDesign, build, and own end-to-end backend systems powering the alternatives platform, working closely with product and business stakeholders to develop, ship, and iterate on features across the full lifecycle of private market investments—from fund onboarding and deal execution to capital calls and distributions.
Architect scalable data models and services to support complex fund structures and investor allocations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and extensibility across the platform.
Develop robust APIs, workflows, and internal tooling that enable reliable tracking of performance, cash flows, and portfolio exposure across alternative assets, while supporting operational efficiency for internal teams and seamless integration with user-facing applications.
Partner directly with Private Investments Team to translate investment strategies into scalable product experiences
Build internal and client-facing tools that support fund launches, client onboarding, and investor reporting

Translate ambiguous, domain-heavy requirements into clean system designs
Bring structure and scalability to complex financial processes
Architect backend systems and APIs for internal and external use
Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and consistency across financial workflows
Contribute to overall platform architecture and engineering standards
7–10 years of experience as a software engineer with strong command in Python
Strong backend / systems engineering fundamentals

Basic familiarity with private markets / alternative investments, such as:
Private equity / venture capital

Strong product sense — you care about how systems translate into user experience

Direct experience supporting alternatives workflows (fund admin, investor onboarding, reporting)
Background in fintech, wealth management, or investment platforms
