About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile/Web Full-Stack Engineer to lead the development of innovative mobile and web applications for the future of fruit production. This role focuses on designing and building scalable, high-performance mobile and web apps using frameworks such as react, creating robust APIs and communication channels (e.g., gRPC), designing scalable data structures and performant analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for delivering seamless user experiences and integrating with backend systems. Experience with vision systems and communication with edge/embedded devices is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using frameworks, such as React Native.
- Build responsive and intuitive web applications using libraries, such as React.
- Architect and implement efficient APIs (e.g., gRPC, REST) for seamless communication between front-end and backend systems, as well as other devices; development of integrations with external and internal services and systems.
- Design and optimize app architecture and data structures to support scalable, high-performance applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure integration with backend and edge systems.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile and web application development.
- Expertise in React Native or other frameworks for cross-platform mobile app development.
- Proficiency in JS, TS, React, etc. and demonstrated experience building responsive, high-performance web applications.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing APIs (e.g., gRPC, REST) and integrating with backend services.
- Solid understanding of database design and management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data structure optimization.
- Understanding of security best practices for mobile and web applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for backend integration.
- Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vision systems, such as image processing or live imaging, in a mobile or web context.
- Knowledge of communication protocols for interacting with edge or embedded devices (e.g., MQTT, WebSocket).
- Demonstrated experience with interactive data visualization, analytics databases and engines.
