We’re looking for a software engineer to help drive and evolve Cyberhaven’s data security platform. As an early contributor, you’ll have significant impact on system architecture and will work on technically challenging problems in a fast-moving environment. You’ll build highly scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems that detect and protect sensitive data across public cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications, helping shape a product that operates at massive scale in real-world conditions.
What You'll DoDesign and implement scalable, fault-tolerant services to discover and detect sensitive data across public clouds and SaaS platforms
Solve real-world scaling and performance challenges through careful analysis, profiling, and troubleshooting
Build and operate distributed microservices using modern technologies such as Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, and Docker
Develop secure-by-design software that processes untrusted data and communicates with large numbers of endpoints over the internet
Design and maintain APIs and services that integrate with third-party SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms at scale
Collaborate closely with engineers across regions to deliver reliable, high-impact features
Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and security as the platform evolves
4+ years of industry experience building high-scale distributed systems, preferably in security or data-centric products
Strong experience developing cloud-native or SaaS applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure
Comfortable integrating and ingesting data at scale from third-party APIs
Proficient in Go or experienced in another modern backend language such as Python, Java, C#, Scala, Kotlin, or Rust
Familiarity with large-scale data stores such as BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, or graph databases
Experience profiling and optimizing distributed systems that interact with large datasets or streaming platforms
Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs and working within microservices and Kubernetes environments
Clear communicator who collaborates effectively with distributed, global teams
Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and navigating ambiguous technical challenges
Customer-focused mindset that values feedback and real-world impact
