About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to join our team as a Senior Project Manager. In this role, you will ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects that align with the company’s strategic goals. You’ll be accountable for defining project objectives, managing resources, and maintaining quality control throughout the project life cycle. The Senior IT Project Manager facilitates communication among stakeholders, mitigates risk, and manages change effectively, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and in scope.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and manage daily activities of project teams to deliver key initiatives.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts in alignment with the project delivery framework.
  • Create detailed project schedules and implementation plans, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with other project managers, vendors, and internal teams to create cost estimates using Element’s standard AFE costing tool.
  • Define project governance and establish clear stakeholder communication cadences.
  • Onboard and manage project resources, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Exercise autonomy in decision-making and influence project direction and organizational strategy.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on project budgets, health, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage risks, adhere to change control processes, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
  • Contribute to the Project Management Centre of Excellence (PMCoE) by sharing best practices and mentoring peers.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant project management experience in the IT sector, including leadership roles.
  • Experience leading Data Migration, Data Transformation, ERP Implementation, or Digital Transformation projects.
  • Proven experience in project delivery using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing people, vendors, and complex stakeholder relationships.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CSM.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

 

Current Location: Mississauga. Our Mississauga office will move to 1 Adelaide in Toronto in September 2026.

The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $136,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
