A Senior Project Manager works within the Marketing department and manages in-house creative teams, external agencies, and freelancers across advertising projects for current and upcoming game releases. Working in close partnership with senior leads across the team's three creative functions - Video, Graphic, and Illustration - this role maintains a clear view of team-wide project allocation, surfaces and resolves scheduling conflicts, and ensures that projects involving multiple functions are executed in a cohesive, integrated way.
This role acts as the connective tissue between Creative Services, Marketing, and Studio. It involves close collaboration with internal Marketing teams, including Product Marketing, Community Team, and Growth Marketing, to align on briefs, timelines, and deliverables, as well as proactive coordination with Studios to secure the game assets and resources needed for high-quality creative production.
The ideal candidate brings a holistic view of the creative production ecosystem, a passion for working with high-performing creative professionals, communication skills, and a process-improvement mindset to keep a multi-functional team operating at its best. Travel may be required.
This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Lead project management across the Creative Services team, working in close partnership with senior leads in Video, Graphic, and Illustration, maintaining a shared view of each function's workload, capacity, and priorities across all active and incoming projects.
- Regularly review team-wide allocation to proactively identify overloads, gaps, or scheduling conflicts, and lead prioritization discussions with relevant stakeholders to ensure a clear, agreed-upon path forward.
- For projects spanning all three creative functions, ensure each work stream is properly sequenced and integrated so outputs connect cohesively rather than being produced in silos.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules in Asana, ensuring full visibility across the team and relevant Marketing stakeholders.
- Conduct structured kickoff meetings to align on scope, requirements, timelines, and inter-functional dependencies from the outset.
- Act as the primary liaison between Creative Services and internal Marketing teams, including Product Marketing, Community, and Growth Marketing, ensuring creative requests are clearly scoped and delivered in line with each team's goals and timelines.
- Coordinate with both internal teams and external partners (agencies, freelancers, and product groups) to manage project progress and dependencies.
- Communicate deliverables, timelines, and project status to Product Marketing Managers, Growth Marketing Managers, and Creative team members through regular, templated reporting.
- Navigate competing priorities across multiple internal clients with clarity and confidence, facilitating alignment and resolving conflicts constructively.
- Provide timely, informed feedback throughout the creative process — anticipating issues and raising concerns proactively, without needing to generate the creative work directly.
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Studio, acting as the primary point of contact for all asset-related coordination between Creative Services and Studio.
- Proactively identify upcoming creative production needs and work with Studio well in advance to plan and secure the necessary game resources, including builds, in-game assets, screenshots, and video captures, so production timelines are met without last-minute bottlenecks.
- Foster a mutually beneficial relationship by maintaining transparency around marketing asset plans, sharing relevant creative outputs and schedules so Studio can anticipate needs, and leverage marketing materials where applicable.
- Establish a shared visibility system for asset requests and delivery status, reducing friction and enabling smoother collaboration on both sides.
- Continuously evaluate project workflows and team processes, identifying friction points and implementing scalable improvements.
- Apply knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline production workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve team efficiency.
- Lead post-project reviews and translate learnings into updated processes and documentation.
- Support internal stakeholders in developing creative production schedules aligned with test and campaign programs.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new external partners, including agencies, freelancers, and specialist contractors, to expand the team's production capabilities.
- Manage ongoing relationships with external vendors, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain an updated roster of trusted external resources aligned with the team's evolving production needs.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
- Conduct analyses and oversee budgeting of project initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
- Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
