About the Role:
As a Senior Program Manager in the Regulatory Tech domain, you will lead high-stakes programs that enable Remitly to enter new markets and launch new financial products while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance. This is a strategic execution role where you will bridge the gap between complex legal/regulatory mandates and scalable solutions leveraging technology.
You’ll report to the Head of Regulatory Tech, and will play a pivotal role collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders across North America, Europe, LATAM and APAC. You will work hybrid from our Vancouver office in this role.
You Will:
Program Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs within the RegTech domain, including maturing and scaling regulatory tech audit such as NY 500, licensing expansion, and regulatory change.
Regulatory Roadmap: Partner with the Head of Regulatory Tech and internal teams to implement global regulations leveraging technology for scalability and velocity for our products while ensuring compliance with global regulatory expectations.
Stakeholder Orchestration: Drive alignment across distributed teams in Seattle, Vancouver, London, and other strategic geolocation. Influence priorities and resource allocation without direct authority.
Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify program, delivery, and cross-functional risks and dependencies, establishing mechanisms to ensure early issue identification, clear ownership of mitigation and implementation, and on-track delivery of project commitments.
Data-Driven Execution: Define and track program health metrics. Use data to identify bottlenecks in project workflows and drive continuous process improvements.
You Have:
Experience: 5+ years of Program Management experience in a high-growth technology environment.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record in delivering programs related to global regulations & drafting of audit controls (e.g., AML, KYC, reporting requirements across NAM, EMEA, or LATAM)
Execution Excellence: Expert-level mastery of program management methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence or Monday.
Mindset: You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable making decisions that balance speed-to-market and risk management.
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $124000 - $150,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
