Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team and lead efforts in Mid-Market invoicing within the Financial Performance portfolio. This portfolio focuses on how customers track time and expenses, bill for work, and collect invoices for some of our largest firm customers.

This role is available to candidates across Canada (excluding Quebec). If you are local to one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto) you will be expected to be in office minimum two days per week for our Anchor Days.

Design plays an integral role at Clio, making up one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization alongside Product Management and Engineering. Product designers directly engage in researching the behaviours and needs of our users. They act as champions of user experience as we work to transform the way legal professionals provide services to their clients. What you’ll work on
  • As the Senior Product Designer, Invoicing at Clio, you’ll join a diversely skilled design team using modern design tools

  • Partner with product management and engineering leads to define objectives and key results for your team.

  • Advocate for our customers by understanding their behaviours, needs, and root causes of their problems. 

  • Be responsible for balancing quality, speed, and consistency of design.

  • Concept, prototype, design and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes. 

  • Be able to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, and be able to ask difficult questions and challenge assumptions. 

  • Provide thoughtful feedback in team critiques.

  • Break down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces.

  • Conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis.

  • Leverage metrics to drive product design and measure product success.

  • Be able to adapt your process to the needs of the situation.

  • A positive attitude & strong communication skills.

  • A willingness to tackle complex problems.

  • Strong UI skills and a keen eye for detail. 

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration.

The full salary range* for this role is $128,400 to $151,000 to $173,600 CAD.Please note salary bands may differ based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may differ depending on the employee's location.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
