About the Job:

SSENSE is looking for a Senior Network Administrator to build, oversee, and optimize our growing hybrid network infrastructure across office, Fulfillment Centre, retail, and cloud environments. Based in Montreal, Quebec, this is a full-time, hybrid-remote opportunity to join a team that values deep technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and strategic impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Day-to-day network support: Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, switches, routers and wireless access points (WLC).

  • Firewall, VPN & Access Control: Configure and manage Cisco Next-Generation Firewall (Firepower) policies, Cloudflare Access/WARP tunnels and Cisco ISE for network access control; perform user provisioning, certificate lifecycle management, 802.1X/RADIUS authentication and enforce Zero Trust access policies.

  • System monitoring: Use DataDog and Catalyst Center to track uptime, performance metrics and respond to alerts.

  • Ticket resolution: Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve user-reported network or security issues.

  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, IP address spreadsheets, SOPs and runbooks.

  • Collaborate on projects: Partner with senior engineers on network moves, configuration changes and security hardening tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in complex network environments with Cisco & VMware solutions.

  • Wired & Wireless Networking: Hands-on with Cisco routing & switching, VLANs, VXLAN, WLCs and APs.

  • Security Solutions: Expertise in Cisco Firepower (NGFW), Cisco ISE, IPS/IDS, PKI and 802.1X/Dot1x.

  • Protocols & Technologies: Deep knowledge of L3 (OSPF, BGP, MPLS) and L2 (STP, LACP, PAgP) technologies.

  • Automation & Provisioning: Experience with Ansible and Terraform for network provisioning and capacity planning.

  • Troubleshooting Tools: Proficient with Wireshark, tcpdump, NetFlow (or similar) for network and security analysis.

What Sets You apart:

  • CCIE certification is an asset. 

  • Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Kanban and/or Scrum) is a plus.
