Senior Manager, Sustainability (Americas) role will sit within our Global Sustainability team.
The Sustainability team supports delivery of client Sustainability strategic objectives, focused on product and supply chain, through operations, reporting and legislation tracking. To do so, our team collaborates with key stakeholders across various internal and client cross-functional teams, Suppliers, Consultants and external organizations. Our global Sustainability team sits across 3 geographic regions, supporting global, regional and market activities.
This is a key role within our Americas Sustainability function, supporting the regional Client in development and delivery of their sustainability strategy. This role provides expert guidance and knowledge on legislation, supplier engagement, while managing internal and external stakeholder expectations to deliver on the client's sustainability ambitions. This role will manage a Sustainability Project Manager and a Manager, Legislative Analytics.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and support for sustainability initiatives led by the Client and other tms functions.
  • Support Strategic sustainability direction for the Americas region
  • Maintain awareness and track requirements from legislation and emerging trends
  • Manage effective partnerships with key external stakeholders
  • Manage and leverage supplier relationships
  • Management of external engagement budget for US market, management of third party legislation tracking budget
  • Provides input on the Regional T&E budget


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

  • Setting external engagement strategy and direction for US market
  • Specifying recommendations in support of US sustainability requirements
  • Key decision maker for NA supplier council and sustainability specific topics
  • Recommending systems and process enhancements


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • In excess of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Americas sustainable packaging legislation
  • Experience with relevant external stakeholders
  • Client Management experience
  • People Management experience


Starting salary between $106,000 -$133,000
