You thrive in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment and love diving into technical challenges—whether it’s navigating revenue recognition, advising on acquisitions, or shaping accounting policy strategies. You’ll play a key role on our Global Finance support team, offering expert guidance on new accounting pronouncements and helping drive clarity and confidence across the business.

In this role, you will…

  • Lead the evaluation of complex accounting transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP technical standards.

  • Serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert across Colliers, advising on diverse and high-impact financial matters.

  • Coordinate the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure consistent application across global entities.

  • Support the preparation of financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to address accounting issues, policy updates, and audit requirements.

  • Develop and deliver clear communications and training on accounting policy changes, emerging standards, and ESG reporting impacts.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA designation is required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical accounting, including research and memo preparation.

  • Deep expertise in US GAAP and advanced accounting principles.

  • Proven ability to advise senior leadership on complex accounting issues and policy applications.

  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong relationship-building and project management skills.
