About the Role:


CaptivateIQ is looking for a strategic, results-driven Senior FP&A Manager to drive financial planning and deliver insights that guide key decisions. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Finance & Strategy, you’ll partner with executive leadership, including the SVP of Finance & Accounting, to analyze financial data, build models, and identify opportunities to drive business growth. In this high-impact role, you’ll leverage your expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to influence CaptivateIQ’s future in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Shape and refine the company's long-term financial strategy in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Own the annual budget process, develop detailed forecasts, and monitor performance against goals, providing actionable recommendations
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess profitability, and uncover opportunities for operational improvement. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to align financial strategies with business objectives and understand evolving needs.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership, translating complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales, marketing, and customer experience, creating dashboards to visualize performance (e.g., CAC, CAC payback, Magic Number).
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to drive strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate finance/FP&A roles.
  • Expertise in SaaS or B2B subscription models.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, corporate finance concepts, and fluency in translating between GAAP and non-GAAP financial metrics
  • Strong financial modeling skills with Excel/Google Sheets; ability to build models from scratch.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to distill complex data into actionable insights via memos and presentations.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience partnering with Go-to-Market teams and managing top-line business planning.
  • Hightouch, Snowflake, or comparable experience with data systems; business intelligence tools like Tableau or Looker; and FP&A systems such as Adaptive Insights or Anaplan.
  • Located in a West Coast or Mountain Time timezone.
