We are looking for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our growing team. In this high-impact role, you won't just track the numbers, you will tell their story and make recommendations. Partnering directly with our executive leaders and department heads, you will own the business narrative, dissecting performance variances, uncovering hidden insights, and translating raw data into compelling visual dashboards.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct data-driven analysis of financial results to deliver actionable insights and clear, step-by-step execution pathways
  • Collaborate within an advanced FP&A team to build, adjust, and visualize budgets and financial forecasts
  • Deliver on-time monthly actuals vs. budget and prior-year comparisons, highlighting key operational drivers and future outlooks
  • Tailor complex financial analysis and recommendations across written reports, dashboards, and oral presentations for diverse audiences
  • Leverage strong in-house FP&A systems and tools to improve reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and visualization quality

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business, with a CPA or MBA preferred; a scientific educational background is a strong asset
  • 6–10 years of experience in accounting or finance, of which at least 3 years should be in FP&A; relevant experience may include management accounting or audit; and prior experience within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency and experience with business intelligence software
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning tools (SAC preferred) and familiarity with ERP platforms (SAP preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial insights

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

$83,700.00 - $125,500.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
