Job Description Summary

Join STEMCELL's dynamic finance team as the Senior Financial Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing complex financial accounting and ensuring compliance with established standards.
You will play a vital role in STEMCELL’s overall financial planning and reporting accuracy by delivering key insights and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements. Additionally, you will support audit activities and advise on opportunities for process improvements. A key focus will be developing accurate schedules and performing reconciliations across various accounts.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads preparation of complex reconciliations and journal entries across balance sheet, profit and loss (P&L), and cash accounts

  • Develops reports and schedules for internal management, external compliance, and financial audits

  • Analyzes financial results and trends to support planning, forecasting, and risk identification and organizes and manages period end close

  • Ensures compliance with financial transaction recording standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations and advises and leads improvements to systems, controls, and reporting processes to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy

  • Leads the resolution of complex financial transaction accounting and/or issue resolution, working collaboratively and effectively with other teams/departments

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA (or equivalent), plus 6-10 years of relevant experience

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting standards, reconciliations, and compliance reporting

  • Experience preparing audit-ready schedules and supporting external reporting requirements

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP, reporting tools, and financial analytics

  • Knowledge of consolidation, cash flow reporting, and budget processes

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

$83,700.00 - $125,500.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
