The Canada Enterprise Finance team is looking for a Senior Finance Manager, Cloud & AI Platforms (Canada Enterprise)  to support Microsoft's Azure products and solutions business in Canada. In this role, you'll partner closely with leaders across our Commercial Solution Area sales organization, helping guide financial planning, forecasting, business performance, and strategic decision making within one of Microsoft's fastest-growing businesses.


As a trusted finance partner, you'll connect financial insights with business priorities, helping leaders translate complex information into clear actions and informed decisions. You'll play a key role in supporting growth, driving business performance, and enabling transformation across Microsoft's Cloud and Artificial Intelligence portfolio in Canada.


This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across local, regional, and worldwide finance teams while gaining exposure to a broad network of business leaders and finance professionals. You will lead financial planning activities, business performance reviews, forecasting, investment analysis, financial governance, and executive reporting, helping ensure the business has the insights needed to achieve its goals.

In this role, you will:
  • Partner with senior business leaders to support strategic decision making and business priorities.
  • Lead forecasting, planning, and financial performance analysis for Microsoft's Cloud and Artificial Intelligence business in Canada.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations that help drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate across Canada, the Americas, and Worldwide Finance organizations.
  • Translate financial data into compelling narratives that support decision-making and business outcomes.
  • Help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, continuous improvement, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Prioritization
  • Provide clear, consistent, and actionable financial reporting, performance metrics, and executive insights that help leaders make informed strategic decisions.
  • Partner with business teams to translate organizational priorities and goals into actionable financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and investment strategies.
  • Monitor business performance and identify key drivers, opportunities, and risks to support informed decision-making and business outcomes.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monthly financial reviews, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Develop financial analyses, modeling, and research that help anticipate evolving business and finance needs.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations that support business growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.
Partnership
  • Build collaborative relationships across finance, sales, and business teams to support organizational priorities and effectively manage business risk.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate opportunities, navigate complex financial challenges, and develop solutions that align with strategic objectives.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations that help stakeholders understand trade-offs, achieve business goals, and optimize Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Share business performance insights, trends, risks, and opportunities across local, regional, and worldwide finance organizations to support alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Leverage best practices and learnings from across the finance community to drive consistency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess the potential impact of economic, market, and geopolitical changes and support planning efforts that help the business adapt and respond effectively.
  • Translate complex data, business information, and financial results into clear, forward-looking insights, forecasts, and recommendations.
  • Develop actionable plans that address complex business challenges, evolving priorities, and long-term opportunities.
  • Collaborate on innovative solutions using Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and advanced analytics to improve financial processes, reporting, and business outcomes.
Protect
  • Champion financial integrity, compliance, governance, and responsible business practices across the Canada organization.
  • Support strong financial controls and adherence to Microsoft policies, standards, and risk management practices.
  • Identify, assess, and help mitigate financial, operational, and business risks.
  • Foster an environment where team members and business partners feel comfortable raising concerns, sharing perspectives, and working together to address challenges.
  • Promote accountability, transparency, and collaboration while supporting the organization in achieving its goals.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
    • OR a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 8+ years Financial Forecasting & Planning, Analysis, Modeling & Insights OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years Executive Stakeholder Partnership

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.

Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year.
