The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to spearhead the development of our data analytics operations. As the one of the early Data Analysts at our company, you will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to build a data-driven culture.
You will be responsible for leveraging our newly established AWS data lake to provide actionable insights, establish data governance, and help shape the future of analytics in our organisation.
Responsibilities:
Utilise the AWS data lake to gather, process, and analyse large datasets, ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and actionable.
Lead the development of data analytics initiatives, focusing on creating meaningful insights for business units.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop metrics, reports, and dashboards that drive decision-making.
Define and implement data governance practices, ensuring data integrity and security.
Develop automated reporting systems and scalable analytics processes.
Serve as the subject matter expert for data analytics within the organization.
Mentor and train other employees on best practices in data analytics, visualization, and reporting.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably in a fast-growing tech environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
Proven expertise in building and managing data lakes, with hands-on experience in AWS (S3, Athena, Redshift, Glue).
Strong proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and experience with Python or R.
Demonstrated experience in establishing data governance frameworks and ensuring data quality.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
